Small business customer "less satisfied" Barclays

Stephen Alambritis, chief spokesman for the Federation of small businesses (FSB), said: "online businesses with some output should be the banks to meet daily bread."

eBay will present its findings to the independent Commission on banks, who is studying the UK banking industry.

Steve Cooper, CEO of Barclays Business, said: "these results are décevants.Notre 26,000 customers own research paints a different picture - almost eight of 10 of our clients are very satisfied with their relationship manager, an increase of the 7pc this année.Même, these figures can be improved."

Despite a recent advertising campaign in which it is committed to becoming "Britain's most valuable Bank" half of NatWest customers rejected the idea that it has become more useful since the recession, while only
17pc agreed.

A NatWest spokesperson said: "we are committed to helping companies to gain access to all forms of financement.Toute matter with an individual staff member is dealt with training."

There were calls for greater competition in the high street many quarters, including the FSB, but only the respondents to the survey of eBay 36pc felt that new entrants would improve ready environment.
