The Act requires ISPs to police for illegal file sharing and suspend repeat connections should enter into force in 2011.

Telecommunications companies had argued that the Act, which calls on internet service providers (ISPs) to block the sharing illegal files, internet access was shoved by Parliament in the period of "wash and" before the elections in May.

A spokesman for the BPI, represents the industry of music, accused of BT and TalkTalk to interest ahead of plans to build Britain's digital economy.

"It is disappointing that some internet service providers are trying to fail [plans to promote the digital economy] and resist any action taken to reduce illegal file-sharing on their networks."

"We continue to believe that their case is legally and échouera.La Act remains in force and we will continue to work with the Government, OFCOM and other stakeholders to implement."

Google and Facebook had also expressed opposition to the law.
