Gender pay gap 'to the choice of women's lives'

Catherine Hakim, a sociologist at the London School of Economics, said women have the freedom to make choices of lifestyle on their work and private life, that stricter laws on equality open nor any doors for women workers.

In a report of 12,000 words to be published next month, Dr. Hakim describes new policies to promote equality "unnecessary" and "feminist myths".

Dr. Hakim argued in its report that there has been a "deadlock revolution" because women are settled in jobs they really want.

It also attacked the idea that men and women have the same career ambitions and values and that women prefer to be financially self-sufficient. And she disagreed with the idea that women have a different, more cooperative than men management style.

It continues to say that there are no shortcuts to success at the top, which requires a total commitment of long hours and almost a career, regardless of your gender.

She told Daily Telegraph: "the long-term trend is more focused on career women make to the level of the Board of Directors." Levels are low at this time because it is only in two or three decades that women had good equal opportunities. The next big problem for the workplace is racism. ?
